Blue Moon

Blue Moon

Synopsis:

“Forget vampires,” he laughed dismissively.

“Who wants to drink blood for eternity? What we have discovered is far more seductive and a great deal more dangerous…”

When 17-year old Emily Morgan meets beautiful but strange Theo de Lucis, there is an immediate attraction between them. But what is his secret? What ancient link ties him to Emily? And what is the significance of the Blue Moon Ball?

As Emily is drawn irrevocably into the glamorous and mysterious world of the de Lucis family, so she is forced to change every perception she has ever had about life, love, aging and death. The truth is terrifying and the consequences unthinkable…

A supernatural horror story, based on society’s obsession with aging and the desire for eternal youth, Blue Moon is the first book in the ‘Blue Crystal’ trilogy…

“For all ‘Twilight’ fans who want a change from vampires, this is the book for you.”

Review:

I loved this book; once I’d started it I couldn’t put it down. The characters are easy to relate too, and Emily the main character is a sweet girl who all readers will easily warm to.
The descriptions throughout the book paint a vivid picture for the reader and while reading I felt absorbed into the village in which it was based.

The storyline was like nothing else I have ever read, but this is probably one of the best things about this book- it is completely original and draws you in.
The suspense throughout kept me gripped and the way the author kept me guessing had me rushing towards the end!
The ‘de Lucis’ family, despite their many secrets and flaws, give this book an element of glamour and class, and I found myself wanting to read more about their past and their lives.

Despite being a ‘fantasy’ novel, the concepts within were so well written and explained that it all became very plausible; this in my opinion is the result of brilliant writing.

I will definitely be eagerly awaiting the second book in the series.

Review:
We had received this book as an ARC, and we were really looking forward to reading it. The synopsis drew us in and we couldn't wait to read Bleu's story and about the sexy tattoo artists.

Bleu saw something that no woman ever wants to see - her boyfriend/fiance cheating on her, she handled it the only way she knew how and had to escape, she didn't anticipate how her life would change. She knew that she could always rely on her family and help them if they needed it.

The book was good and it had us reading late and we couldn't put it down, we loved the characters and it had the right amount of sex, love, family drama and had us laughing too. We loved the relationship Bleu developed with Jack and Chloe and all the three girls together were full of fun and laughter especially the *****Spolier***** front porch scene where Axel finds them.

It was a good read and we would have liked the story to have been a bit longer especially towards the end.
*****Spolier*****
We especially would have liked to have read some of the pregnancy that Bleu and Abby were going through and would have liked to have read about Axel and Harley's relationship, I hope that M.A Stone will think about writing another book that would have this information in, maybe a novella.

We look forward to reading the next book in the series, well done.

About the Author:
M.A. Stone has been writing and making up stories ever since she was a little girl and she got her Sesame Street coloring books taken away for filling them with dirty words.
She was born and raised in Upstate NY(which oddly makes her sound like she is from Wisconsin)and has moved around all over the east coast. She currently lives in South Central PA with her amazingly sarcastic husband and her four incredibly entertaining children. Oh and her dog who weighs over 90 pounds, but thinks she is a Shi Tzu.
She is also addicted to root beer and the tv show Supernatural.

I’m the strong one, the one that has to help the rest of them through the tough times, but I don’t know how strong I can be for them through this…

Review:
I absolutely loved this book, I couldn't put it down from the moment I picked it up. I am a HUGE fan of Terri Anne Browning and love this series to pieces.
I love how the story is told from everyone's points of view and I get a fix of all my favourite rockers, though i have to admit that Drake is my fav!! ;-)
This story is well told and it is not a disappointment, it is easy to read, kept me on the edge of my seat and made me fall in love with all the demon men again. I couldn't stop turning the pages and had me up late reading causing me to have a serious book hangover, but it was in fact definitely worth it.

If you haven't started reading this series what are you waiting for???
